BEWARE: Mountain roads can really make a GPS go crazy so we suggest getting directions to Banner Elk, NC or to Beech Mountain Parkway and then following our directions. ALSO, 4WD is definitely suggested for winter trips.  Snow and ice can make the roads in the area very hard to navigate.

If you would like specific directions from where you are coming from we are happy to help you.  We also have a binder of attractions and restaurants near the cabin for you on your stay.

130 Hollow Tree Rd
Beech Mountain, NC 28604

The house is just under 7 miles from the stoplight in downtown Banner Elk and takes about 15 minutes to get there depending on how comfortable you are on mountain roads. :)

DIRECTIONS:

- You will want to take Beech Mountain Parkway up the mountain.
- Continue past Ski Beech (Ski Slopes) about 1.5 miles
- Turn Right onto Pinnacle Ridge Road (DO NOT turn onto Pine Ridge Rd) There will be a cluster of signs on your left.
- Once on PINNACLE RIDGE ROAD, continue down about 1 mile.
- Pass Red Fox Lane and look for Hollow Tree Lane on Right.
- Hollow Tree Lane will be gravel and the turn for it will be at a curve in the road across the street from a large blue house.
- Take Hollow Tree Lane to the house. It is the 3rd and last house on the street.

 DRIVING SUGGESTIONS:

As mentioned earlier, 4WD is best for the winter season.  While roads are maintained pretty well, ice can build up over night (after they stop plowing) and cause some serious problems.  Chains are helpful for these conditions as well.  Pinnacle Ridge Rd is steep and you may sometimes want to avoid it.  Directions for another way to the house on less steep roads is provided upon booking.  We also suggest that you save your brakes and drive in a lower gear when traveling down the mountain.
